Kathy Schilling, MD, earns recognition as “one of nation’s best and brightest”

Kathy Schilling, MD, medical director of Imaging and Intervention for Boca Raton Community Hospital’s Institute for Women’s Health & Wellness, has been named a semifinalist for the 2009 “Minnie Awards,” honoring the nation’s best and brightest in medical imaging.
AuntMinnie.com is a nationally-recognized internet site for radiologists and related professionals in the medical imaging industry. Award candidates are chosen through nominations suggested by AuntMinnie's membership of more than 148,000 radiology professionals. Dr. Schilling has been named a semifinalist in the Most Influential Radiology Researcher category.
An internationally-renowned radiologist and pioneering researcher in the field of
women’s breast health, Dr. Schilling performed the world’s first PEM (positron emission
mammography) biopsy. She has been the medical director of the Women’s Center at
Boca Raton Community Hospital since 1988.
